Chess in Bangkok

Chess classes for children 8

About this list

Most chess academies in Bangkok teach children, and they differ mainly in format. Happy Pawn holds weekend group classes in English at Asoke and Nana, with camps and online lessons alongside, and Fat Cat in Khlong San teaches young children in group classes booked through LINE. CapyChess in Prawet takes children from preschool age and leaves its tables open for free play at weekends.

JCA Chess School in Prawet offers private, group and online lessons, school programmes and camps, and Big Rook Chess Academy in Watthana runs classes from children to adults next to its club sessions. Unisus teaches children from preschool age at its mall branches, a chess and makruk school at Imperial World Ladprao teaches children and adults, and the Australian International School has opened a chess academy of its own at Mille Malle on Sukhumvit. Ask about the level of the group, the language of teaching and a trial class.
