School and members-only chess in Bangkok 21

Many chess programmes in Bangkok sit inside schools, universities and private clubs and take only their own pupils, students or members, so you cannot join them from outside.

Most are after-school activities at international schools, among them Harrow, Shrewsbury, St Andrews, Wellington, Regent's, SISB and the Lycée Français, often run with an outside chess academy, and several hold an internal or inter-campus championship. Thai schools such as Triam Udom Suksa, Amnuay Silpa and Bangkok Christian College have chess activities too. At Chulalongkorn and at Mahidol University International College chess belongs to a board-game service or club, and the Royal Bangkok Sports Club keeps a chess section for its members. To ask about a programme, contact the school or club itself.
